Philips

Philips is a very large company with a healthcare division. They have the brand AVENT for their baby products. They sell pumps, bottles, pacifiers, baby monitors, bottle warmers….With a large company like this they have money to throw into research and development so many of their products are innovative.

Here are the current breast pumps they have on the market:

The AVENT Double Electric Breast Pump is

Features of this pump:

  • Soft cushion on the flanges
  • 3 Expression Settings
  • Powerful yet comfortable
  • Less parts to clean
  • Unique No Lean design

This pump really is an innovative design if you’re looking for ease of use and comfort. The flanges are designed for more comfort and the “no lean” design of the bottle and flanges is a good feature. Many other brands have bottles with flanges that are front heavy and fall and tip easily, spilling all of that hard work. The other nice thing about this brand is it comes with less parts to have to take apart and clean, which comes in handy if you are pumping at work for instance. The pre-programmed settings can be a little hard to use however, and the pump doesn’t have a battery option so it has to be plugged in to use.

Philips AVENT Double Electric Breast Pump Advanced

Philips AVENT Double Electric Breast Pump Advanced is another double electric breast pump Philips offers.

Features of this pump:

  • Play/Pause Function
  • Soft adaptive silicone cushion on flanges
  • No lean design
  • 8 Stimulation and 16 Expression Levels
  • Re-chargeable, very portable–comes with a belt

This pump relies heavily on technology but once you figure it out it is an easy to use pump. This one comes with a belt and is easily transportable so you can walk around while pumping. It is a re-chargeable pump so you need to remember to recharge it or else it is not very portable. The battery doesn’t last a very long time so it has to be charged often.

Philips AVENT Single Electric Breast Pump Advanced

If you are looking for a single electric breast pump, this is a good option. It is on the pricier side for a single pump, but it is comparable in quality to the AVENT Double Electric Breast Pump Advanced. It is less expensive than the Double Pump. It is corded, so it is not extremely portable.

Features of this pump:

  • Single Pump Capability
  • Soft adaptive silicone cushion on flange
  • Minimal setup and cleanup
  • 8 Stimulation and 16 Expression Levels
  • Timer tracks each pumping session

The main complaints of this pump is that it is not re-chargeable. It needs to be plugged in for use. It is a good option for a secondary pump or if you don’t pump full time. The motor is quiet and powerful, so milk expression is typically good on this pump.
